flashpoint archive - a HUGE collection of now-defunct flash games. site has a launcher you can download and relive the nostalgia of flash.

club penguin journey - fan site for club penguin with its own discord server and wiki. monthly updates!

stepmania - DDR clone game with a huge modding community and lots of custom songs. the game hasn't been updated for a few years but the forums are still up and contain a lot of great answers and advice for getting the game to work with an irl ddr pad or controller. lots of keyboard charts too if pads aren't your style.

openrct2 - an open source program that mods rollercoaster tycoon 2 and adds quality of life features. requires owning rollercoaster tycoon 2 base game otherwise it won't work.

noclip - site where you can view video game maps/worlds in a noclip environment, being able to take the camera anywhere.

launchbox games database - a database of video games on nearly every single platform. this is where i found nearly all of the images used on my games page.

zenius-i-vanisher's arcade finder - page for finding arcades, rhythm games, and game meetups across the world.

sonic retro - largest fan wiki dedicated to sonic the hedgehog!

taiko time - fan blog dedicated entirely to taiko no tatsujin and updates on the series.

internet archive - an archive of the internet. amazing resource for looking at website snapshots & finding media.

gifcities - geocities and internet archive source site for gifs!

imgbb - free image hosting service, similar to imgur.

w3schools - site dedicated to various coding tutorials. i learned a lot personally about coding HTML for this very website through w3schools! definitely recommend.

instructables - site dedicated to various user-submitted DIY tutorials, all step-by-step. i have used this resource for cosplay, gardening, home decor, and other various crafts and DIYs. really good resource and just fun to surf on to see what people have made.

spacehey - social media website, very similar to myspace. html coding for profiles makes the site customizable and fun. i also have my own profile :)

the old net - view snapshots of old sites, provided by the internet archive.

scp foundation wiki - one of the longest running collaborative fiction writing websites on the internet. have spent many an hour on this site just reading various articles.
